A classic baseplate compass that is used all over the world. I like to think of this as the Field 7’s big brother. It has a longer base plate so your readings and measurements will be more accurate, and a magnifier in the middle, in case you forgot your monocle.

Whether you choose to believe what it says is up to you, but if exhaustion, hyperthermia and disorientation haven’t disabled your brain, then it could well save your life. If that doesn’t appeal, then you could just run round in circles.
