Sue’s review
If you’ve read the other reviews then I’m sure you’re starting to disbelieve that I own 3 different pairs of fell shoes. But it is true, honest. It’s my only extravagance now. (because I’m worth it)
So, Mudclaws. The sole is fantastic. Incredibly aggressive, amazingly long studs which allow you to fly down hill and put your foot down with confidence. It is the best sole there is. The 330 is also quite a durable shoe, with a rubber bumper bar (technical this isn’t it ?) that protects you from rocks and stuff. It feels like a completely different shoe to the Mudroc 290, and it’s even a bit of a different shape.
One thing which seems to affect most people is that the heel is quite low cut, and when walking uphill you can find that your heel lifts out a bit. I found this very weird at first, especially after wearing Walshs, but now I’m used to it and it doesn’t actually cause me any problems.
Go on – buy them, you won’t regret it.
