Sue’s review
This is what i would call a multi-activity jacket – it has a shorter slimmer cut to most hill walking jackets, but with a dropped tail to cover your bum. The hood will also go over a cycling or climbing helmet, but with a good draw cord and volume adjuster so it will sit nicely on your bare barnet. As with all of Montane’s stuff, if you don’t need it, it isn’t there, and so there’s no mesh lining – it is a pure shell. It’s lighweight, will pack down very small, and like the Puma jacket, it looks so smart that you can wear it around town without looking like you’re on an alpine expedition.
eVent, in case you’ve not heard, is a fairly new waterproof/breathable fabric which lets sweat escape up to twice as fast as common waterproof/breathables. Take a look here for more info
